PAWS of Grays Harbor protects and cares for dogs and cats who are lost, abandoned or abused until they can be united with a responsible family. Alongside finding these animals new homes, PAWS also facilitates low cost spay and neuter services for local pet owners. In just 2022 alone, PAWS successfully adopted out 495 pets and distributed 5000 pounds of pet food.

Program areas at PAWS of Grays Harbor

PAWS cares for lost, abandoned and abused animals and finds them new homes with responsible owners. During 2023, PAWS adopted out 533 pets and distributed 6,214 pounds of pet food to community members in need. PAWS collaborates with organizations such as local Animal Control facilities to transfer in unclaimed dogs needing a home and with Stafford Creek Corrections Center to provide a 12-week board-train- adopt program.As of April 2023, PAWS has reinstated the Freedom Tails program in partnership with Stafford Creek Corrections Center after years on hiatus. This popular program pairs a duo of incarcerated individuals up with a PAWS of Grays Harbor pooch for 12 weeks for a board and train program. At the end of their 12-week stay, they enjoy a special adoption ceremony with their new families to show off their skills as they start a new journey.
