Program areas at Paws - Providing Animal Welfare Services

Paws has 7 programs aimed at preventing pet homelessness, protecting pets from harm and suffering; and promoting responsible ownership. Additionaly, it provides support for veterinary care, care for pets of victims of domestic violence and during disasters and humane education. In 2022, Paws began operation of an open-admission Animal shelter.
Spay/neuter program: in 2022 Paws provided more than 650 free and low cost spay and neuter vouchers to residents of teton county, wy, star valley, wy, and teton county, id, and helped 125 pet owners pay for critical veterinary care for their animals.
Open admission Animal shelter: in 2022, Paws took over management of an open-admission Animal shelter in driggs, Idaho. It provided care for 818 lost, found, stray and owner-relinquished pets in teton county, Idaho through december 31st, 2023.
Medfund: the Paws medfund provided financial assistance to more than 150 families whose pets needed critical veterinary care. The lifesaving program prevents unnecessary suffering of pets due to financial constraints.
