Program areas at Paws Vet Care Center
Provided education, low cost spay/neuter services, programs to prevent overpopulation and animal homelessness. Encouraged healthy pet community and responsible animal ownership by providing affordable/low cost routine and emergency veterinary medical services and provided low cost end of life care for terminal and suffering animals. During 2023 we: provided low cost spay and neuter services to more than 1,700 owned pets, and over 1,100 stray and feral animals. We provided low cost exams to 3,800 animals and vaccinated over 3,400 animals for rabies. We also implanted over 481 microchips and tested over 750 pets for heartworms. In addition, we quarantined 12 animals for four months each for our local animal services, free of charge. We provided free rahabilitation services to over 200 native wildlife and we provided over $18,400 in free and discounted services to indigent pet owners and animal rescue organizations during 2023.
