Program areas at Peace Neighborhood Center

Youth Services include age-specific After School and Summer Camp Programs for elementary, middle school, and high school youth. After-School programs provide individualized academic support, early literacy training, age-appropriate social/emotional learning, enrichment, creative learning activities, and college career prep--with continued support through college. Summer Camp programs provide recreational activities and special interest clubs like tennis, dance, skateboarding, gardening, nutrition, etc. weekly field trips to parks, museums, and zoos unique creative learning experiences with a range of community partners transformational road trips for older youth and summer academic bridge group. All youth programming is designed to help young people succeed academically and socially, guiding them on a path that includes higher education, a career, and a future that includes self-sufficiency and positive community involvement.
Wellness Program helps parents, youth, and families improve their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health well-being through weekly Wellness Activities Yoga, Walk Talk, Journaling, Mindfulness, etc. bi-weekly Support Groups and trauma-informed Behavioral Therapy for individuals and families that need more intensive therapeutic support.
Advocacy and Adult Community Programs include case management services and wrap-around support that includes emergency assistance to help cover basic household expenses like food, shelter, transportation, and medication and advocacy with health care providers, landlords, and the courts.
