Rooted Growth Accelerator and Pitch Competition : Successfully graduated a cohort of five entrepreneurs, each receiving mentorship, training, and resources to scale their businesses Hosted the Rooted Growth Pitch Competition at Harmony Hustle, awarding $5,000 in reimbursable grants ($3,500 for 1st place and $1,500 for runner-up). Featured inspiring presentations from cohort members, showcasing their visions, products, and businesses. Strengthened alumni support by spotlighting past cohort members successes and growth trajectories. Fresh Air: Held multiple all-levels, no-drop community bike rides, encouraging cycling as an accessible and inclusive activity. Partnered with Black-owned businesses, increasing their visibility and driving economic impact. Launched the Fresh Air Halloween Ride, engaging over 100 participants with a festive costume contest, seafood boil, and live music. Fostered new partnerships to expand the rides reach and participation. The Columbia City Night Market: Grew attendance and vendor participation at monthly Night Markets, solidifying it as a destination event in Seattle. Featured over 350 unique vendors across the year, prioritizing local and Black-owned businesses. Expanded offerings with live performances, culinary experiences, and cultural activations. Increased volunteer engagement, including partnerships with local high schools to provide youth opportunities. Partnered with BECU and local Columbia City businesses to host the Columbia City Holiday Night Market, creating festive community experiences and driving revenue for vendors. Summit to Sound: Hosted the Snoqualmie-to-Seattle cycling adventure with participants from diverse skill levels. Increased participant registration by 50%. Partnered with local businesses and organizations to create unique aid stations and community cheer zones. Laid the groundwork for future franchising opportunities in cities across the U.S. and beyond. Seattle Bike Bus: Successfully piloted the Seattle Bike Bus, providing a safe, fun, and eco-friendly alternative for kids to get to school via bike, roll, or walking. Collaborated with Seattle Public Schools and community groups to encourage cycling among youth and families.
