In fiscal year 2015, the board of directors of Peace Plantation Animal sanctuary (ppas) in concert with the board of directors of its parent corporation, the National Humane Education Society (nhes), underwent an organizational restructuring that resulted in the closure of ppas and all its operations were consolidated into nhes' apoption center, the briggs Animal adoption center, which is located on the nhes campus in charles town, west virginia.this consolidation was udnertaken to minimize operating costs. As such, ppas will remain inactive until such time as we are able to build and operate a new facility on the nhes campus.
