Information and resources:the Alliance is a trusted source of information for parents and caregivers, school teams, and aligned professionals. Through a variety of awareness initiatives, partnerships, programs, a biennial family conference, resources, and tools.
Research:the Alliance initiates and funds research to better understand - and improve - outcomes after Surgery. This includes our global Pediatric epilepsy Surgery registry, The only patient-powered (by parent proxy) study to understand The medical and developmental trajectory after epilepsy Surgery in childhood.
ADVOCACY & COLLABORATION:WE MOVE OUR MISSION FORWARD BY COLLABORATING AND ADVOCATING WITH HIGH-IMPACT ORGANIZATIONS. WE DO THIS THROUGH OUR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN ALLIANCES WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING: - Perkins School for the Blind- the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates- American Brain Coalition; - the Rare Epilepsies Network; - Epilepsy Learning Healthcare System of the Epilepsy Foundation of America; - Infantile Spasms Actions Network; - the Rare and Catastrophic Seizures Consortium; and, - the Epilepsy Leadership Council of the American Epilepsy Society.
