Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center (PCRC)

The organization helped individuals and groups in san mateo county address and resolve disputes through conciliation, mediation and facilitation services. The organization promoted and supported the engagement of individual community members with public agencies and in public decision-making forums. This includes convening and facilitating community meetings, training people in skills essential for leadership and community building, and building positive partnerships between community and members and institutions such as schools, law enforcement and local government departments. The organization trained elementary, middle and high school students and adults in Conflict Resolution and communication skills and provided intensive youth violence and prevention initiatives in schools and neighborhoods at risk of gang and involvement or other types of violence.
