Peninsula Friends of Animals aims to care for, place in good homes, and prevent the birth of unwanted animals through spay/neuter and educational programs. Program areas at Peninsula Friends of Animals

Host a spay/neuter class for low income pet owners, sponsoring a trap/neuter/return program for commnity cats, providing a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, if needed by the community, and promoting the importance of spay/neuter to the community as a whole through education.
We have an emergency pet food bank for pet owners who cannot afford to feed their Animals. In 2023 we distributed over 4174 pounds of food and 105 cans of food to over 94 low income pet households along with over 86 pounds of cat litter from our emergency food bank. A total of 183 dogs and 265 cats received support from our emergency pet food bank.
We provide shelter space and caretaking within a sanctuary program for Animals taken into the adoption program but not adopted for various reasons. In 2023 we cared for 27 adoption challenged Animals, 1 of which was adopted. We will take in as many cats as can be comfortably accommodated in our no-kill shelters and foster care system, provide all necesssary medical care, socialization, and cageless shelter until they are adopted.
