Statewide victim information and notification system (savin)- pdai is the project manager under a federal grant implementing automatic notification of prisoner release from Pennsylvania county jails. The system is anonymous and available to any interested party wishing to register.
The law enforcement justice information system (lejis) is an innovative police data sharing system that works in conjunction with the Pennsylvania justice network. Lejis improves patrol officer safety by providing near- real-time incident data to police in the field through their own agency's rms. It also enables investigators and supervisors to coordinate their investigations with other agencies and has led to many successful cross- jurisdictional investigations. Lejis users can quickly identify whether other law enforcement agencies have had prior contact with an individual, a piece of property or a vehicle, and provides follow-up contact information. With information more readily available, police officers and sheriffs are better equipped to increase their own safety, while detectives and District Attorneys can conduct more efficient investigations.
Prosecutor and law enforcement training program - provides pertinent and current training to Pennsylvania prosecutors and law enforcement officers. Prosecutors training and law enforcement training will focus on criminal law practice, procedures and investigation as it applies to the prosecution of criminal cases.
Other training grants - pdai provides training programs on various criminal justice issues throughout Pennsylvania; distributes and installs case management software systems; educates prosecutors on the topic of appellate practice and assists with legal research.
