Program areas at Pennsylvania Youth Theatre
Children ages 4 - 18 attend performing arts classes and camps. The programs help them develop their talents, learn to think creatively, develop self-confidence, and acquire an appreciation and understanding of the arts. Additionally, through scholarships, pyt supports 40-80 at-risk children annually.
The organization professionally produces 3-4 literature-based children's plays annually, seen by 12,000 - 18,000. These productions augment the language arts curriculum of area schools. Pyt's vigorous outreach programs benefit thousands of underserved children through workshops and subsidized tickets
