Program areas at Pension Rights Center
Legal Program: Provided technical support and legal training to regional pension counseling projects around the country. Also provided information and referrals to individuals with retirement plan questions and problems, wrote fact sheets and blog posts, presented webinars, and filed friend-of-the-court briefs.
Communications: The Communications activities of the Pension Rights Center are aimed at publicizing the legal and policy work of the Pension Rights Center to the media and the public. We send out press releases to the media, write blogs, articles and op-eds, and post fact sheets and other educational material on our website.
Public Policy Program: Worked with employee, retiree, and women's organizations to preserve pensions and develop improved retirement policies. Wrote comments on key regulatory issues, educated workers and retirees about changes in the law both by writing fact sheets and also by giving speeches on Zoom.
