Trained community members to identify the top issues facing their neighborhoods in the areas of housing, land use, environment, public safety and education, and supported community members to develop and pursue effective strategies to educate elected and appointed officials about changes in policies and programs that would increase the quality of life for low income community members.
Sponsored the mutual aid la network and a series of community food distribution programs to address the basic needs of low-income residents throughout los angeles, training over 50 community members in the operations of mutual aid programming, and building a community of over 500 participants.
Conducted outreach, workshops and tenant navigation to support tenants facing housing insecurity within the city of los angeles and promoting the legal and technical support available through the stay housed la program.
