Collaborative Conservation Management - Through this program in 2023 the organization helped strengthen measures and conditions for local communities to participate in the protection of forest with high conservation value including threatened species and their sustaining habitat. This program includes social forestry silviculture and forest restoration measures within conservation landscapes. The program was specifically designed to provide guidance and support to remote communities in Indonesia and Vietnam with the objective of promoting and implementing effective conservation management practices in these regions.
Species Research and Conservation - As part of this program the organization conducted research into biodiversity assets located at specific target locations in 2023 and effectively implemented measures to safeguard and preserve these biodiversity values including but not limited to threatened species of flora and fauna as well as their sustaining habitats. This program has also entailed the strengthening of conservation management practices by local community and government stakeholders in target landscapes with high conservation value forests particularly in Indonesia and Vietnam. The figure provided under "Expenses" is an estimated figure that is also included in other work of the organization given that in 2023 there were no dedicated grants for species research and conservation but all grants have included various components.
Conservation Governance and Management - Through this program the organization supported and helped advance biodiversity conservation measures in protected area landscapes in 2023 through working with protected area authorities and local communities. Specific activities within the program have included strengthening the conservation and management capacities of protected area authorities and working with local civil society to further conservation of natural resources particularly in Indonesia Thailand Vietnam but also in Papua New Guinea. Some of the work under this program includes social forestry for habitat restoration and forest protection in high conservation value forests near areas or within conservation area landscapes. Most of the work under this program is carried out with the involvement of local stakeholder communities.
