Program areas at PH International

Community development programs: PH International's core values include a belief in strengthening communities in a grassroots approach to solving community problems. Developing an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of citizens while building the capacity, confidence, and skills of program participants is at the heart of PH International's community development programs. Through educational workshops, training seminars and hands-on community development projects, these initiatives build skills in effective communication, advocacy, leadership, and coalition building. Community development programs truly illustrate PH International's vision of empowering individuals of all ages to help build healthier communities.
Professional development programs: professional programs involve direct observation and hands-on, results-oriented professional training with counterparts in a us host community. Participants receive specific skills and ideas necessary to expand professional knowledge and expertise. These exchange-based programs enable delegates to experience us based program and professional practice models in action in communities across the united states. Program themes have included economic development, community policing, environmental protection, youth advocacy, women's leadership, arts and culture, and more. Activities include site visits, hands-on practice, job shadowing, and collaborative exchange. Host family stays round out these programs, providing a genuine us experience, and fostering a mutual sharing of perspectives and experiences. PH International supports professional programs that offer long-term possibilities for collaboration and foster sustainable professional relationships among american and International participants.
Educational development programs: PH International's educational initiatives provide unique opportunities for both students and education professionals to establish academic and community partnerships that encourage exploration of cultural diversity and provide the opportunity to share common experiences. These initiatives help prepare young adults to become business and community leaders, while fostering a deep appreciation of foreign cultures. PH has displayed a long-standing commitment to education-focused initiatives. Current programs are enriched by utilizing a vast network of technical resources to implement creative and innovative projects that support education in a digital world. Professional exchange opportunities reinforce online partnerships, peer tutoring, internships and more.
