Program areas at Phipps Center for the Arts
Exhibitions and production costs: in 2023, we staged 113 performances, which drew 19,605 audience members. Performances included theater, children's theater, stand-up comedy, music and dance. Additionally, promotion of cultural activities within the local area by providing a place for performing Arts to be held as well as supporting local community art initiatives.
Cultural public education: we offered individual music lessons and 254 classes in Arts, dance, yoga, tai chi and acting, with 2103 students enrolled. We displayed art in our galleries throughout the year, as well as at croixdale senior housing in bayport, mn and woodland hill senior housing in hudson, wi through the enriching Arts program. In the spring we held our annual exhibition of art by area high school students and awarded the marylu brown scholarship to graduating senior who intended to major in art the following fall.
