Program areas at Pianos for People

Pianos for People breaks down financial barriers that prevent those from disadvantaged backgrounds from accessing the many well-documented benefits of playing the piano. We provide access to music to those who need it most by providing quality Pianos, lessons, summer camps and community activities at no cost.since our inception in 2012, Pianos for People has sourced and delivered over 415 free, quality Pianos to People who could not otherwise afford an instrument. In 2023, we were able to source, service and deliver 42 acoustic Pianos and 4 digital keyboards.continued on schedule owe opened our first free piano school in 2014 in south st. louis and a second school in october 2016 in ferguson, mo. In 2023, we provided free group and private lessons, music production workshops, and events to over 250 students.our free summer piano camps offer a safe, enriching activity during those critical out-of-school months. This past summer, over 180 youth participated in camps over a four-week period.in addition to music education, our efforts center around personal growth and character development including confidence building, self-discipline and an emotional wellbeing.
