Because the management of Spirit of God Community Inc spends so much time each year either in Medjugorje or working directly on programs for the benefit of the people we help, we estimate that 1/3 of the management fee paid to Pilgrimage Tours should be allocated to Program Service expense.

In April 2021, Christy Galmish died. For many years she had been an active member of Pilgrims' Peace Center, often taking groups on pilgrimage to Medjugorje. After she died, people, many of whom had traveled with her, began sending donations to Pilgrims' Peace Center in her honor. It was decided to set up a fund so her three children could travel to Medjugorje in her honor.
In 2001, Pilgrims' Peace Center brought a seven-year-old with severe Downes Syndrome to the United States for medical treatment. She had been abandoned at the time of her birth. She was adopted by a wonderful family in Gulfport, Florida. Early in 2022, she underwent what should have been a minor surgery but complications developed and she passed away. Pilgrims' Peace Center paid for her funeral.
In 2001, three refugee families moved into a two-story triplex we built in Medjugorje in Bosnia-Hercegovina. In 2013, it was discovered that half of the building was on a neighbor's property. Our lawyer was able to negotiate a mutually acceptable agreement with all of them. In 2019 the county approved the new land agreement. About the same time, the county told us that we that the building did not have all the legal building permits. To do that, we had to recreate all the the building drawings. These were submitted to the county building department in the summer of 2020 and approved in 2021 by the County.
