Pillars of the Community is committed to embracing and celebrating the historic, rich, and diverse culture of Southeast San Diego. We strive to counter the criminalization of our community through community organizing leadership development, and strategic partnerships. Our vision is for a healthy and thriving Southeast San Diego which reflects the rich and diverse culture of all its members. As an organization dedicated to helping those affected by the criminal justice system, Pillars of the Community believes in being grounded in the Islamic faith which centers us on compassion, respect, and advocacy for the disenfranchised. The dignity and equality of every human being. The intrinsic value of living and working in the community we serve. Celebrating the diversity of the communities in which we live by being inclusive and accepting. Being trustworthy, sincere, and accountable in human and organizational interactions.
