Program areas at PVRC

Residential services - Pines Village is a non-profit corporation that provided continuing care Retirement community services to 198 residents in 2023 on a 9-acre campus. We offer residents a full range of accommodations with independent living apartments, home health care services, dining services, wellness center, social services, transportation services, diverse and intergenerational programming, and daily recreational activities that encourage individuals to engage in life. Residential living is also provided in duet homes at meridian woods on 39 acres, and these 138 residents are given priority access to Pines Village apartments with access to home care, housekeeping services, transportation, dining services, and handyman services. Staff participate with many community partners in numerous local, state, and national organizations, including elderstyle and leading age. A total of 7,062 hours were devoted to both community and non-resident senior activities. Residents are eligible to request financial support from Pines Village if their assets are depleted due to longevity. All requests are evaluated and reviewed and subsidy is provided if they qualify while preserving Pines Village's ability to operate in a financially sound manner.
Home health care services - Pines Village's state licensed private duty home health care agency provided services in 2023 to 58 seniors which resided at Pines Village apartments, duet homes, or in the greater valparaiso community. Available home health services included home health aide assistance with grooming, bathing, dressing, light housekeeping, snack/meal preparation, meal delivery, and health care monitoring, medication assistance, and coordination of care by a rn.
Nutritional services - Pines Village provides dining services to its residents. Additionally in 2023, Pines Village provided 60,739 free or low-cost meals to seniors in the community at banta senior center, through local meals on wheels, and at Pines Village's veterans breakfast club which is open to the community.
