During 2024 and into 2024 we have two major initiatives: 1) PKD Free Babies - Our 100 PKD-Free Babies initiative is providing the funding and support to bring about a new generation of PKD-free children. Our ambition is to reduce the number of babies born from ~7500/year to all PKD Free Births. We have ignited this effort with an initial goal of subsidizing 100 PKD-free children. -Our current program offers $3,000 per patient to cover the cost ofpreimplantation genetic testing (PGT) not covered by insurance.-We are in the process of finalizing arrangements with two national fertilitycenters to provide families enrolled in our program with significant discounts, whichcombined with an increased grant from pkDO will reduce the out-of-pocket cost for oneround of IVF/PGT from ~$30k to ~$15k.-This new program will significantly increase the number of PKD-impactedfamilies we can assist in having a PKD-Free Future.PKD Free Babies - 2023 Results-4 - Medical Center Partners2- National IVF Center Partners12 - Social Media Partners38 Families Seeking our assistance~20 PKD-Free Babies "In Process"4 PKD-Free Babies Born in 20232)Live Kidney Donation Initiative - Our efforts have helped incubate a neworganization solely focused on this initiative that is staffed by highly trainedindividuals that have over a decade of experience assisting with live donortransplants and the desire to build a scalable organization to provide this serviceacross multiple transplant centers.In 2023 pkDO partnered with this new organization and one of our medical centerpartners on an 8-person pilot program which was conducted with considerable success.Plans are being made for an expanded 25-person pilot to start early in 2024.This initiative now has a life of its own and we are one of several backers for thesuccess and growth of this important initiative.
