Program areas at Planet Indonesia
General programs: our program services were carried out in west kalimantan, Indonesia. We provide socio-economic benefits to communities in exchange for adopting new resource management plans centered around large protected areas in Indonesia. Our model utilizes a unique four-step approach to help communities achieve fair and equitable development by building conservation compacts. We facilitate green prosperity through (i) identifying new livelihoods and sources of income, (ii) transferring assets and providing production training to launch businesses (e.g., seedlings, fertilizer, livestock, etc. ), (iii) building community capital by creating savings and loans programs at the village level, and (iv) providing mentoring and life skills coaching to promote long-term sustainable development.
