Planetree Health Library guides the public to current, relevant, no-cost, and trust-worthy medical information because we believe informed consumers can make wiser lifestyle and self-care choices, and can partner more effectively with healthcare professionals. We connect the public to curated Health information via our website, free e-newsletter, and social media.- audience engagement with our online collections remained constant; while there were slightly fewer webinars and presentations in 2023 than 2022, audiences at each tended to be larger than the previous year.- created short video on diy fact-checking Health news, to introduce our 4 websites for evaluating Health information.- implemented Planetree Health Library youtube channel to publish our videos.- created a new online collection (better communication with Health professionals), and regularly updated all 7 online collections.- usage of our free public online Library of librarian-curated links on:later life (combined common issues of later life, caregiving, later life [advanced care planning]) - 818 views.evaluating Health information - 509 views.crisis Health information (combined emergencies & your Health, covid & coronavirus) - 519 views.better communication with Health professionals (debut mid-march 2023) - 232 views.- online community calendar posted, on average, approx. 45 events per month.- nine webinars / presentations on evaluating Health information offered to: avenidas (lgbtq+ focus), american association on aging (2 programs), san andreas regional center (persons with disabilities focus), national network of libraries of medicine, aarp northern California and aarp national (2 programs). The combined synchronous attendance for these programs was 415 (nnlm and aarp programs were recorded and available to watch after each program, number of views unknown).
