THOUGHTFUL BIOMETRICS: The Thoughtful Biometrics Workshop brought together a range of stakeholders from civil society, biometrics vendors, biometrics implementers, regulators and technologists working in neighboring fields. We had a very productive conversation and considered key issues that shape the future of how the technology is implemented and its implications for society.
BLOOM NETWORK: In 2023 several new Local Bloom hubs joined our network, from Italy, the Philippines, and Northeast US. We submitted our federal tax exemption application so we will be able to accept direct tax-deductible donations. Lastly, we grew our volunteer teams of grantwriters and communications professionals.
LUCID NEWS MEDIA AND COMMUNITY SERVICES FUND:The Lucid News Media and Community Services Fund publishes articles and produces events that support the movement for the informed, safe and legal use of psychedelics for medical and spiritual purposes. As appreciation grows for the healing potentials of psychedelics, we believe that now is the time for a grounded and dynamic discussion about their efficacy and impacts, guided by principles of integrity, cognitive liberty, compassion, diversity, equality, and sustainability. We believe that the integration of psychedelics into society has broad implications for the future of human wellness and spiritual practice.
