Planned Lifetime Assistance Network of Connecticut

Plan of ct is the only organization in Connecticut that administers a special needs pooled trust. This trust has allowed hundreds of Connecticut residents with disabilities, mostly those over the age of 65, to live in their own home with Assistance rather than in a nursing home. This not only allows people with disabilities to live in the community, it relieves an enormous strain on the medicaid system. Plan has also distributed thousands of dollars from its charitable accounts to help Connecticut residents with disabilities live more independent and enriched lives. The distributions have made homes more accessible, provided education and safe environments for those who need it most. Plan of ct continues to provide community education about the importance of special needs trusts in the disability community. Workshops, one-one meetings and support group presentations have helped educate families and professionals on how to ensure all people with disabilities are provided with a full and dignified life.
