Program areas at PPGWNI
Patient services provides comprehensive and compassionate reproductive health care for women and men through clinic sites and telehealth in central and eastern Washington. Services include low-cost birth control services and supplies, pregnancy testing and options counseling, abortion care, referrals for prenatal care, annual checkups including pap smear, breast and pelvic exams, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, cervical cancer screening and treatment, sterilization referrals, and preventative health education. We also provide limited primary care and gender-affirming hormone therapy.
Education provides information and education to prevent unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Education is committed to providing high-quality, holistic reproductive health and sexuality education in central and eastern Washington and North Idaho. Education's skilled educators are recognized as experts in the reproductive health field. Programs, workshops, and resources are offered for teachers, schools, parents, youth, religious and professional community groups, as well as community partners. Approximately 2,600 individuals were served during the year.
Public affairs advocates for reproductive health care services in settings that preserve and protect the essential privacy and rights of each individual. Public affairs works with national, state, and local officials to ensure that reproductive health care is recognized as a basic and essential health care service. Through community and grassroots organizing, public affairs seeks to improve access to family planning services and ensure the availability of accurate sexuality education in public schools. Events include, but are not limited to, recruiting and training volunteers, organizing visibility events, and sponsoring other activities that affect public policy. Approximately 7,000 individuals were served during the year.
