Program areas at Plattsburgh College Foundation
The Plattsburgh College Foundation (the Foundation) funds scholarships and grants to students enrolled at suny Plattsburgh (the university). These scholarships and grants are selected by universityoffices and departments, reported to the university's financial aid office and paid to each recipient student's account through the university's student accounts office. The scholarships and grants are funded through gifts to the Foundation, including those both with and without donor restrictions, as well as through investment income generated from endowments which are designated for scholarship support.
The Foundation provides support for student focused departments and programs of the university including athletics, student leadership opportunities and the like. The support comes in the form of funds for equipment, travel, marketing materials, events and assistance to students in crisis, and other activities which enrich the overall student experience.
The Foundation provides support for academic departments and programs of the university. The support includes the purchase of academic equipment, support for salaries paid by the university, travel to conferences and other professional development activities and various other activities that enhance the vibrancy of the academic programs offered by the university.
