Design Development is estimated to be 50% complete by 2/7/2024.Geotechnical Services report completed and submitted on October 31, 2023. Plenty Doors Community Development Corporation will develop Wrap Around Support Services for emerging small businesses and incentivize the development of small businesses the community needs. Assisted 16 small business owners in the process of applying for the Montana Indian Equity Fund grant. Provided Credit Builder classes: 24 classes - 82 attendeesProvided Food Handler classes: 15 classes - 173 attendeesProvided Indian Equity Fund classes: 3 classes - 25 attendeesHosted 8 art markets and bazaars and provided 44 vendors with an opportunity to sell their artwork and food. Created a Business Center open to the public for internet/computer use, copying, scanning, emailing and fax services with all materials available for use. Also available is a laminating machine.Plenty Doors Community Development Corporation will establish a Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI) with related programs that support small business development through financing of businesses, jobs, homes and agriculture. 81 small personal and credit builder loans closed10 of the loans maturedStarted lending in 2022. Total loans closed for 2023 is $69,825Total loans closed to date $80,525.33Plenty Doors Community Development Corporation will strengthen its Workforce Development program and opportunities through a strong partnership with the Little Big Horn College and other stakeholders.Offered a 10 week-long Day Labor program in three communities on the Crow Reservation. Over 90 individuals participated in the program and five employers provided placement for participants. Apsalooke Energy Justice Project the intent of the project is to research the Apsalooke coal history and how leadership decisions impacted our economy. A cohort of 10 young people were identified to assist and learn from the project.Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) program provides support and training for homeowners and local interested entities to build knowledge capacity and mobilize community agents to work with households. Weekly WASH Taskforce to discuss and better understand the necessary steps towards providing safe water and sanitation systems to rural households and communities. Includes local stakeholders. CDBG-CV Grant Program Nearly 40 applications have been received and processed to determine eligibility based on HUD requirements. A portion are not eligible based on HUD requirements. Summer Private Well & Onsite Wastewater Workshops. Received 44 reports generated from the summer 2023 Private Well & Onsite Wastewater home assessments. The reports are being reviewed for coliform, disinfectant, conduit repair, & maintenance. Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) - The overarching goal of the project is to understand the current conditions of homes on the Crow Reservation and obtain resources to assist homeowners to repair their homes. To date, 53 completed surveys have been received from Hardin, Dunmore, Crow Agency, Garryowen, Lodge Grass, Wyola, St Xavier, Pryor, and Yellowstone County.
