Poimen Ministries

Poimen Ministries has pastoral couples serving our ministry with the goal of "strengthen pastors, strengthen churches". We have helped many churches in leadership transition, which enabled them to move ahead with a new pastor in place and a bright future as a congregation. We have also provided administrative assessment to many churches and we are contracted regularly to provide counsel in a myriad of areas including legal, corporate, leadership, marital, and conflict resolution. We provide pastor-to-pastor training and pastor-to-pastor counseling either in person or by telephone/zoom sessions. Administrative consulting includes helping with review of bylaws and/or procedures, as well as organizing the leadership teams. Church assessments involves evaluating leadership teams to give encouragement and perspective on their current procedures and policies. Retreats/conferences consulting includes speaking or leading conferences for senior pastors. On-site and off-site transitional support includes acting as the interim pastor while assisting the leadership team in finding and installing a new pastor. Sabbatical support includes filling in for pastors who need to take time off. We also provide pastoral coaching and mentoring to allow the pastors to grow and develop in their leadership position. The Poimen ministry pastors are not salaried employees of Poimen Ministries and therefore, like missionaries, rely upon the lord and members for their financial provision. Each of our pastors fund their own ministry outreach through donations they receive. Poimen Ministries does not charge congregations for our services, but recommends they give an honorarium to help meet the financial costs incurred by the pastors in providing the services to their congregation. Poimen Ministries has assisted 56 churches, 4,276 church leaders, and 22,950 congregants during the year.
