Program areas at APSP
Advocacy and standards: the advocacy program engages federal, congressional, state and local governments to advocate for phta interests, represent industry initiatives, and develop impactful relationships with decision makers. The standards program develops nationally recognized and accredited safety and industry standards guiding manufacturing and construction of goods and services in the swimming Pool and Hot Tub industry
Marketing and communication: the Alliance serves as the voice of the industry, providing information about the safe and healthful use of industry products to consumers, delivering aquatic safety information to the public, and promoting its industry members to the public.
Certification: the Alliance develops and administers exams that test whether a professional has the skills and training needed to manage and maintain the complexities of building, installing, maintaining, or servicing pools, spas, or Hot tubs, and issues certifications to professionals who have passed the exams and committed to ongoing professional development and recertification.
