Program areas at Pope's Kids Place
Eagles house pediatric group home. Eagles house provides 24-7 nursing care for our children. We offer residential, transitional, and respite services in a homelike, caring environment to children from birth to age 18 and their families. Children are cared for by highly skilled and dedicated nursing staff. Many are on ventilators, require daily infusions, are battling cancer or other life-threatening medical diagnoses-some they were born with and some that were acquired after birth. Many of our children are in foster care or are wards of the state. Respite care is at the core of our program. We provide a safe and nurturing Place for families to comfortably leave their medically fragile child while taking a family-saving break to rest and rejuvenate, thus helping to keep families intact and strong.
Physical terapy center has expanded the quality of life available to our residents. We converted one of our buildings to provide physical therapy and family support. Half of the building is a large open physical therapy room filled with equipment to help improve the lives of our residents. The other half of the building is available to provide a home like space for the families of our residents to stay free of charge on a short-term as-needed basis. We are created a park-like setting in the middle of our campus. This area serves as a safe Place for our residents and their families to enjoy the beautiful world we live in.
Vivian's house young adult family home. Vivian's house provides the same care as eagles house to young adults, over the age of 18, who are medically fragile and have typically "aged out" of our pediatric group home. Respite for families is at the core of this program as well.
