Description
A 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community health center with offices in Valparaiso, Portage and Knox, Porter-Starke Services is a licensed community mental health center through the Indiana Division of Mental Health & Addictions and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. We are accredited by the Council on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. We offer a full continuum of care for adults, families, adolescents, and children with mental health or substance abuse issues. We treat all clients on individual plans of care, tailored to specific needs.

Program areas at Porter-Starke Services

Outpatient Clinic: Outpatient services provide evidence-based mental health and addiction treatment, including individual and group therapy, psychiatric services and medication management, and crisis intervention. Services are provided to children, adolescents, and adults.
Community Support Services: In this program, services such as case management and care coordination, adult day treatment, and supervised living (group, semi-independent, and transitional) help to support individuals with chronic mental illness.
Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital: Inpatient hospitalization services provide acute psychiatric and therapeutic care in a secured setting for adults experiencing a mental, emotional or behavioral episode or crisis.
Other Program Services - These programs include Admissions, Experiential Therapy, Integrated Care, Opioid, Child Case Management, FQHC Center, Child Alternative School, Child Day Treatment and MRO Services.
