Program areas at Porters Place
Porters Place provided transportation assistanace for the developmentally disabled the clients are picked up and dropped off at their schools,employment.development programs and field trips. They are also assisted on and off the vehicles based on their disability Porters Place also provided transportation for the elderly that were in need of transportation to Doctors appointments and pharmacy pick-ups. These services are provided Monday-Saturday from 7:00am-6:00pm. Porters Place is in partnership with The Coastal Developmental Service Foundation and Logisticare LLC. Porters Place clients are in the capture area of Carson, Culver City, Gardena Hawthorne. Inglewood, South Central Los Angeles and Torrance Califormia
Porters Place provided mentoring and tutoring to teenagers in the 6th-12th grade that needed assistance increasing their qrade point averages. Tutoring support was to achieve grade level standards and beyond. Seniors were provided with cotlege support activities such as college tours, college testing assistance.life skills traning. Necessities that were needed for the students that were going live on campus were provided with shoes,linens,school supplies and kitchen supplies. These services were offered Monday-Saturday :00pm-8:00pm. Approximately 30 students per month were serviced
