Description
Potential Energy adapts and scales technologies that improve lives in developing countries. In 2015, the organization distributed and sold over 3,000 high-efficiency, wood-burning cookstoves to women in the Darfur Region of the country. These stoves use less fuel, emit less smoke, and cook twice as fast as traditional stoves. In 2016, Potential Energy continued its work in Uganda by leasing and selling high efficiency biomass stoves paired with carbonized briquettes as an alternative to charcoal. The organization is located in Berkeley, CA.
