Program areas at Residency

We sustained supportive employment for 1 individual, over 1,100 hours of employment, as we transition her now into full-time staff. This employee also finished her ged and started college in the fall of 2019. They work to continue to provide and support themselves now in the present and better their opportunities for the future. Our supportive employment also incorporates paid tutoring for our employee(s) that choose to utilize the program, financial training on personal finances and guidance as they seek to navigate accrued debt from their time during their experience with homelessness, and other holistic support as they continue to navigate this new chapter in life. We also launched the residency trauma therapy program and began with 1 participant. This program provides immediate access, indefinite trauma therapy to those in need. By the end of the year, the success of this program made it clear the value of its worth and ease of scalability to many more individuals.
We engaged with hundreds of supporters, donors, and businesses about the problems surrounding the unhoused and in turn providing them with deeper insight into the complexity of said issues, especially in light of a global pandemic.
During covid, we were able to keep our entire staff on payroll without pay cuts or interruption, provide paid access to mential health services for our employees, and bring on two new part-time staff members.
