Prairie View Management, Inc., (Corporation) is a nonprofit organization established to provide professional management of Prairie View Residential Care Facility (formerly known as the Fayette County Care Facility) in Fayette, Iowa, which has 16 licensed beds. The Corporation also provided professional management of Heritage Residence in New Hampton, Iowa, which had 16 licensed beds. The facility closed 6/30/22. The Corporation provides services at various houses and apartments within the surrounding communities as well. Prairie View Management has a history of quality care. We honor our deep-held commitment of creating an environment of respect and dignity and will assist individuals in reaching their full potential. Residential services include personal care and 24-hour supervision for adults who are unable to live independently. Emphasis is placed on helping people to develop to the maximum potential and maintain abilities.Health care is provided by several nurses and certified medication aides. They are on site medical consultations in family practice, rehabilitation, podiatry, and psychiatry. Social services are provided by licensed social workers and other qualified staff. Individual program planning is designed by an interdisciplinary team. There are a variety of leisure and recreational activities each day at Prairie View. Transportation and assistance to community events are also provided. Frequent activities include: woodshop, arts/crafts, parties, bingo, exercising, sing-a-longs, picnics, dances, Bible study, ball games, church/mass, swimming, fishing, camping, bowling, gardening and current events. Prairie View has an open admission policy, serving male and female adults, who can benefit from services. Potential clients may be referred through contact with Director of Social Services, Nursing Director, or their designees. The full cost for services by the facility averages about $253.41 a day per client. Financial assistance is available to qualifying applicants. The annual budget is $6,469,354. Approximately 82% of the revenue comes from residents' revenue: social security, SSI, private pay, state supplement and other county donations. The facility also generates revenue from vocational and laundry.
