Program areas at Pratt Museum

In alignment with the Pratt Museum mission, the education program is dedicated to lifelong learning and participation in the understanding and exploration of the Natural environment and the human experience of the kachemak bay region of Alaska and its place in the world. The education program seeks to inspire self-reflection and dialogue in its community and visitors through education programs and interpretive exhibits in the arts, sciences, and humanities.
The Pratt Museum maintains collections in its mission areas of the arts, sciences, and humanities to preserve these items for future generations, to make them available to researchers, and to further our educational mission by using them in exhibits and programs.
The Pratt Museum's exhibits bring our mission to over 10,000 visitors each year by showcasing and providing interactive learning experiences around the art, Natural History, and human experiences of the region. The Museum has five indoor galleries plus seasonal and permanent outdoor installations on its 9.8 acre site. Approximately six rotating exhibits on a variety of topics are offered each year in the Museum's special exhibits gallery.
