Program areas at Pre-Trial Services Corporation
Pre-Trial Services: consists of several programs which provide alternatives to incarceration and/or prosecution. In 2023, there were 4,797 individuals interviewed and 2,486 individuals released from incarceration.
Felony driving while intoxicated diversion: individuals charged with felony dwi are given an opportunity to address the underlying causes of the arrest behavior while prosecution on that charge is deferred. In 2023, there were 57 accepted to the program and 69 favorable terminations.
Human trafficking intervention program: Pre-Trial oversees the day to day operations of the rochester human trafficking intervention court and delivers individually tailored, trauma specific care and wrap around support Services to participants.
New york state division of criminal justice Services - detention reduction assessment project: a grant provided by the new york state division of criminal justice Services (dcjs). The agency introduced a new model alternatives to detention program, in order to reduce the length of detention in monroe county, by providing additional jail screening and recommendations for defendants held in the monroe county jail after arraignment, as well as to have additional staff to provide community supervision in anticipation of the increase in releases to the release under supervision program. Due to the need for release under supervision Services, case managers provide intensive supervision and targeted interventions based on risk and need of defendants released to the program and provide additional education and evidence-based programming as needed at the agency's center for community supervision and diversion for defendants on release under supervision as well as for probation assigned individuals.
