Preserve The 'Burg educates, advocates, and celebrates what keeps St. Petersburg special. It educates the public about the city's history through meaningful conversations, tours, panels, events, and community-designed resources. In addition to educating the community on St. Pete's history, it also advocates for the maintenance of its historical, cultural, and architectural resources through walking tours, movies in the park, lectures and porch parties, historic building tours and preservation awards.

Program areas at Preserve The 'Burg

Preserve the 'Burg's mission is to celebrate St. Petersburg's historic built environment and educate the public about the importance of historic architecture and historic neighborhoods. To that end, PTB hosted more than 40 public programs in 2023, including a new educational lecture series, a Preservation Expo, and dozens of educational walking tours. PTB also worked to complete an economic impact study on St. Petersburg's historic built environment, the results of which are scheduled for release in 2024.
