Program areas at Prevention Council
In 2023 healing springs provided services for individuals and families impacted by Alcohol and other drug addiction. Prevention education programs were delivered this past year to approximately 3,500 students in 10 school districts in Saratoga County covering topics such as: underage drinking, Substance use, life and social skills, bully prevention, distracted driving, media literacy and interpersonal skills. We were also able to bring anti-drinking and driving programming to many of the districts, work closely with at-risk students through our self-esteem, communication skills and health decision making classes; and counsel 225 students seeking mental health services. In addition, we provided specialized services including: victim impact panels to 500 offenders and 40 overdose prevention trainings for 1,100 people.
