Program areas at PIC
Head Start - Promote school readiness and enhance social and cognitive development through provision of health, educational, nutritional, social, and other necessary services with the objective that the families and their children will be healthy, confident and better prepared to succeed in life. Early Head Start - Is committed to serving low-income families with infants and toddlers and pregnant women in their homes and/or classroom environment. Our goal is to promote healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women, enhance the development of very young children and healthy family relationship.
PIC is an operating partner and accounting manager of the Alle-Kiski, Fayette, and Westmoreland PA CareerLinks. As the Title One provider for the Westmoreland-Fayette Workforce Investment Board, PICs staff provide Workforce Investment Act (WIOA) services throught the PA CareerLink at various locations in Westmoreland and Fayette County.
PIC is the primary provider of the welfare-to-work program and case management services in both Westmoreland and Fayette county. PICs Earn clients are referred by the Westmoreland and Fayette County Assistance Office (CAO) and complete an enrollment/orientation period prior to being accepted into the program.
