Program areas at Project Rozana USA
Nursing hub-usaid - together with usaid and nurses in the middle east, Rozana's nursing hub addresses nursing gaps in specialist fields for 500 palestinian and israeli nurses from eight prominent healthcare institutions (four israeli and four palestinian) that individually serve highly populated urban centers. Launched in late 2022, our nursing hub facilitates clinical training, online theoretical learning, language and peacebuilding training, joint research, and 'training of trainers' to ensure sustainability.
Wheels of hope - our signature transportation program is wheels of hope: supporting regional ngos to coordinate volunteer drivers who transfer palestinian patients through military checkpoints to hospitals in israeli.
General programs - Project Rozana seeks to build bridges to better understanding between israelis and palestinians through health. This community-wide, multi-faith health initiative achieves this by raising funds to: (1) train palestinian health professionals in israeli hospitals in order for them to return and build the health capacities of their communities, particularly where there are identified gaps; (2) transport palestinian patients from home to checkpoints in gaza and the west bank to hospitals in israel and back home via our partner ngos; (3) treat critically-ill palestinian children in israeli hospitals in cases where funding from the palestinian authority is not available.
