Afterschool Program Elementary Students Grades 1 - 5 - Our 2022-23 AfterSchool Program enrolled 74 participants across 3 site locations. Program participants received a free healthy dinner, homework help, reading intervention, and mentoring from our Project Transformation North Texas Corps Members. 50 of regular attendees grew in their social-emotional learning and 79 grew in their reading skills. Summer Program Grades 1-12 - 479 students enrolled in our 2023 Summer Program across 10 site locations. The elementary students read for 40 minutes, one-to-one, with a volunteer each day to improve fluency, vocabulary, and text comprehension as well as to increase their confidence in reading.
