Program areas at PTA Washington Congress
Provide Tutors for students across the K-5 grades for one-on-one assistance with learning disabilities, concentration issues, focus areas and based upon teacher recommendations.
Support 4th and 5th grade students interested in music education. Provide instrumental music instructions for interested students throughout entire school year - instructor provided, rental of instruments provided by students.
Provide an after school program that provides instruction in multiple art forms and other activities, enriching and enhancing learning and community for all students; serving between 75-100 students for 30 afternoons across 5 sessions, once per week through the school year.
Provide K-3 students with Friday Visiting Musician program across all lower level student classrooms. Wholly funded by the PTA.
Provide opportunity for 4th and 5th grade students to attend an outdoor school program with their teachers and parent chaperones for 4 nights and 5 days at the beginning of the school year.
