Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama provides objective, nonpartisan information to improve state and local government. Parca conducts research projects on regional collaboration in the Shoals region of Alabama, studies the census, Alabama taxes and public finances, and conducts public opinion polling. Parca collaborates with the Alabama Department of Mental Health for technical assistance and supports the Parca Roundtable, a group of young professionals interested in state and local public policy.

Policy and data:parca conducts policy Research in Public education, high-level data analysis of statewide school performance data, and detailed performance analyses of local school systems.
Technical assistance:parca has continued a long-term Research collaboration with the Alabama department of mental health. Parca also supports the parca roundtable, a group of young professionals intersted in state and local Public policy.
