Public Defender Association of Pennsylvania

To promote and preserve high standards for the representation of the indigent accused of crime or deliquency; to promote and inter-change of ideas and experience concerning functions in the field of crimal defense throughout the commonwealth of Pennsylvania; to provide information to the Public relative thereto, to foster sound legislation in such field; to establish standards of personnel and work; to cooperate with the judiciary, the bar and all organizations interested in the administration of jutice; and to participate as amicus curiae in important appellate criminal cases.
