Program areas at Puerto Rico Rise Up
To encourage self sufficiency and sustainability, we parntered with and empowered community leaders and volunteers to impact their vulnerable communities through our disaster relief programs such as: (1) alimentos para mi gente, a food box program that provided boxes of locally sourced produce & nutritious food (2) florece community gardens provided a hands-on experience on farming organic fresh produce, it's health benefits, the science and agriculture behind sustainable farming practices and the mental health benefits attained from the acqusition of relaxation skills.
Provided educational supplies and toys to children in underserved communities through our back to school initiative around mid year and our annual caravana navidar during the year end holiday season.
