2023 overview of program accomplishments - community stewardship/education/training events - holding 25 on-the- ground community education/training/stewardship events and serving 574 number of attendees through this effort, and cleaning 372 bags of trash out of the Purgatoire river. - at-risk youth/young adults stewardship & education events - holding 4 at risk youth/young adult education and stewardship events working with mile high youth corps, and serving 45 attendees through this effort - k-12 youth outdoor education program events - held eleven k-12 youth outdoor education program events serving 480 attendees through this effort. - have completed additional phased work on expanded multi-user 4.5 million project on the Purgatoire river - the baca-picketwire diversion dam restoration complex project - working with a host of partners including agriculture, recreation, ecological, municipal, and local developers. Project focuses on improving irrigation infrastructure, installing fish passage, installing boat passage, woody invasive species management, installing fish habitat structures. - fuels mitigation in the upper Purgatoire Watershed - completed 4 weeks of important fuels mitigation work with mile high youth corps as the contractor in the upper Watershed, and working in collaboration with a host of partners to incorporate forest education as well. - pwp formal invited presentations at conferences - gave presentations at the Colorado open space alliance conference - aspen, co - oct 2-3; and the trinidad reservoir annual meeting nov 3-4, trinidad, co. - pwp executive director training - pwp executive director attended multiple conferences/professional tours/workshops for educational and networking purposes including: cpw partners in the outdoors conference - apr 18-20; Arkansas river basin water forum, apr 25-26, Colorado springs, co; water quality workshop, may 23-24, la junta, co; river watch training oct 18-21, cedaredge, co; trinidad reservoir annual meeting nov 3-4, trinidad, co
