Program areas at Putah Creek Council

Native Plant NurseryPCCs Native Plant Nursery specializes in plants native to the Putah-Cache watersheds, and sources most of its seed from within those two watersheds to ensure genetic integrity of the nursery stock.We hosted 48 volunteer events with 246 participants.
OneCreek Restoration Technician Education Program:The program trains people in the basics of ecological restoration and native plant propagation. The internship is divided into nursery workdays (within Putah Creek Council's Native Plant Nursery) and field days at various partner restoration sites within the Putah-Cache watersheds.
COMMUNITY STEWARDSHIPOne of PCCs core activities, community stewardship events bring volunteers together to care for natural areas along Putah Creek.57 Stewardship events and 48 native plant nursery events brought together 246 community volunteers to restore and protect Putah Creek and to produce native plants for restoration projects.134 environmental education events helped 2,948 children gain appreciation for PutahCreek and its plants and animals.
