Description
Quatrefoil Library cultivates the free exchange of ideas and makes accessible LGBTQ+ materials for education and inspiration. The library curates LGBTQ+ materials to be lent to the community and provides programming for creative queer individuals such as author readings, writing workshops, exhibits, lectures, and events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. As part of the local community and receiving support over the many years we have serviced the community, Quatrefoil Library started a Scholarship Fund to help address economic disparities.

Program areas at Quatrefoil Library

Library--It is our continued effort of curating LGBTQ+ materials to be lent to the community and providing programming for creative queer individuals such as author readings writing workshops exhibits and lectures and events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in literature. We work to preserve collect and display our collection in a welcoming and safe environment. In 2020 the library was closed for most of the year due to COVID-19 and had limited operations. In 2019 the last full year of operations the library had over 3,600 patron visits 2,900 volunteer hours recorded and over 2,900 items checked out. Patrons conducted research participated in book clubs read for fun checked out LGBTQ+ materials participated in seminars and came to discover LGBTQ+ history in the Twin Cities.
Scholarship Fund--As part of the local community and receiving support over the many years we have serviced the community it is our duty to give back to our community and to continue to expand our mission. We started a Scholarship Fund to help address economic disparities in the LGBTQ+ community who were seeking or already attending college. In 2022 the library awarded $1,000 to a scholarship recipient after a review of applications submitted.
